The chronology and geographical distribution of 19^th century schools is a difficult task, as there were differences between the moment when an institution was founded by the municipality / state and when it was eventually functional. Similarly, most institutions had provisional quarters in private buildings until the authorities managed to erect appropriate buildings. The addresses below are those provided in a local source in the early 20^th century.
