 [2]This bank was probably branch of a Greek bank from Constantinople.

 [3]During the 1880s the bank (“Brothers Lazaris”) was under the ownership and administration of the brothers Ilias and Petros G. Lazaris, initially with the cooperation of the merchant and industrialist Ioannis Millas. In 1890 (1 October) it was liquidated, and Ilias G. Lazaris founded a bureau de change (casa de schimb), while in 1901 the Bank was re-established.
